In order to repair a slope failure on Route 23A just west of the Catskill-Hunter line, the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will need to CLOSE the road to all traffic at this location from Monday, September 17 through Monday, September 24.

While this work takes place, the closure and detour will be in force 24 hours per day.

During the closure period, motorists will be directed to a signed detour route, as traced in green arrows in the map below.

All homes and businesses in the area will continue to be accessible during construction, and trash pickup, local deliveries and other services in the area will continue to be provided.
