Lanesville- Local Flood Analysis Public Meeting No. 1

Town of Hunter, NY Invites You to be Part of the Solution

Lanesville

Local Flood Analysis
Public Meeting No. 1

The Hunter-Lanesville Flood Remediation Committee (HLFRC), working under the direction of the Town of Hunter Town Board, invites you to attend the first in a series of public meetings to find solutions to flooding in the hamlet of Lanesville. This effort is like the flood planning recently completed in Hunter and Tannersville.

The flood analysis focuses on beneficial and feasible solutions. We’re asking you to help us identify flooding issues and areas prone to flooding within the hamlet. What are your experiences? Do you have suggestions? Questions? Together, we’ll develop a range of strategies that will be tested for their benefits using engineering analysis. Initial results will be reported at a second public meeting to help refine these strategies.

Engineering firm SLR Consulting, hired by the Town of Hunter to assist with the Local Flood Analysis, will present at the meeting and ask for public input.

Please join us on Thursday, January 25, 6:00 PM at the Stony Clove Rod & Gun Club to learn more and make this study a success. Your hamlet is counting on you!
