Hometown Heroes’ Banner Program

In partnership with American Legion Bunt-Brewer Post 165, and support from the Villages of Tannersville, Hunter, Town Historian Dede Thorpe, and additional support from the Greene County Legislature, we are proud to sponsor the Hometown Heroes Veterans Banner Program.

This program is a living tribute to the service men and women from the Town who served our Country. Each individual banner will recognize and honor a specific member of the Armed Forces. It will include their image, name, branch of service, and dates of service. The veteran must have been Honorably Discharged and lived or currently resides in the Town Hunter.

The banners will be on display prior to Memorial Day through Veterans Day (November 11), in the Town of Hunter along the main roads.

Deadline: February 28th 2024

Or, pick up an application at the Hunter Town office or Village Offices in Tannersville, Hunter. For further information, email: Legion165commander@gmail.com
